Willem Ardui has been keeping the Flemish music world on their toes for some time now. As producer-singer of blackwave., of course, but in addition, he has been releasing sporadic solo work under his own name since 2016. His songs are whispers for the eager to listen. Delicate confessions and intimate secrets that sound like a reflection of the soul, brought in his native language.

"For me it is an obvious fact that I do the two projects at the same time," he says so himself, "although many people find it strange that I combine such divergent things. I have a feeling, however, that they lay quite close to each other. Both musically and in terms of lyrics, I approach both projects in the same way. With blackwave. the songs are more exuberant, while my solo project tends to go back to the intimacy."

After an eight-year journey, Ardui finally docked at the beginning of this year with his long-awaited debut album 'Oevers', which he presents at AB and a select garland of concert venues, including Cactus Café. Looking forward to seeing a new side of this young belpop promise blossom.
