Fear not Belgium, because good old, straightforward rock'n'roll is in good hands! With Rhea, made up of leather jackets and sunglasses, we have a no-nonsense rock band that can cross swords with the likes of Wolfmother and Royal Blood, not coincidentally two acts that have already asked the band to be their support act. Besides, Rhea already graced the main stage of Werchter and - as far as we know - they are the only Belgian band to perform an arena show during COVID.

For false modesty, Rhea is clearly in the wrong place. The band, headed by vocalist Jorge Van de Sande, links riffs to locks of attitude and with their mix of hard, stoner and arena rock, plays the competition home without mercy. On their upcoming album (expected in October), the band goes deeper than ever. It flirts with funk and disco, and Rhea throws in Hammond organ, violin, piano and mellotron for their most ambitious record yet. For the first time at Cactus Club!
