We’ll admit it: ever since their hit ‘Daggers’, High Hi has been our favorite Belgian indie pop treat. The Antwerp-based band, consisting of Anne-Sophie Ooghe (vocals, guitar), Dieter Beerten (vocals, drums) and Koen Weverbergh (bass), excels at combining experimentation with a sharp pop sensibility into punchy songs that instantly stick in your head.

The trio draws on their love for dreamy shoegaze and the glossy sounds of the ’80s, combined with their impeccable taste, which extends to their music videos, artwork and outfits. Their breakthrough album ‘Firepool’ (2020) produced no fewer than three singles with ‘Daggers’, ‘94A9’ and ‘Alligot’, and its follow-up ‘Return To Dust’ (2022) also features an absolute banger with ‘All Cool All Fine’.

At the end of January, High Hi released their latest album ‘Noonday Demon’, once again marking a step forward in the career of this ambitious band. After a sold-out concert at the AB in spring, High Hi will appear at Cactusfestival this summer. Since we know they’ll once again play the stars from the sky there, the invitation for Cactus Club was already waiting!

The Belgian uwase (always written in lowercase) is regarded as one of the most remarkable voices in indie pop. What started as a bedroom project draws inspiration from artists such as Blood Orange, Caroline Polachek, Phoebe Bridgers and Lorde. Along the way, she explores a balance between intimacy, atmosphere and experimentation.

uwase won De Nieuwe Lichting in 2025, followed by a MIA nomination in the Breakthrough category in 2026. She will release her debut in spring 2027!
