TJE consists of Lindy Versyck (vocals), Melvin Slabbinck (guitar, drums), and Klaas Leyssen (bass), who, alongside TJE, also explore other musical horizons: Versyck regularly appears with Arsenal and Meltheads, Slabbinck plays drums for Kaat Van Stralen, and Leyssen fronts punk rock band The Yummy Mouths. Add to that Pieter-Jan Decraene, who plays a key role in the creative process as co-writer and producer and can easily be considered the band’s fourth member. Together, they fuse their musical backgrounds and influences into a unique sound that is as infectious as it is undefinable.

Balancing on the edge between intensity and vulnerability, TJE sounds as raw as it is layered, constantly searching for tension between melody and experimentation. The band moves from electronics to melancholic avant-pop and experimental post-rock, without ever losing its focus on atmosphere and emotion. Lindy Versyck’s voice, somewhere between Björk and FKA Twigs, is a force in itself.

With their debut album ‘Schade’ (Mayway, 2026) under their belt, TJE continues to build their career both in Belgium and abroad. Their utterly distinctive sound defies categorisation and truly comes into its own at dusk. Come and discover this indie gem!
