Ironworks Dread, Reuben Addis & Jonah Danuk

Ises 'Ironworks' Dread and Reuben 'Unitone' Addis first crossed paths around 1979 in their hometown of Bedford, UK. In 1981, Idren Natural moved to Bedford, and over time, the three bonded, becoming lifelong brothers.

Reuben 'Unitone' Addis, also known as Robel the Earthopian, is a singer and producer who has worked with artists such as Idren Natural, Ras Theo, Lee Perry, and many more. Seven years after their first encounter, Reuben founded Unitone Studio, while Ises Dread and his brother formed Dread and Fred and established Ironworks Studio. Dread and Fred played a major role in shaping the roots/dub direction that the duo eventually embraced, leading to their connection with the legendary Jah Shaka, who released their groundbreaking single 'Warriors Stance' and the albums 'On High' (Parts 1 & 2) and 'African Chant'.

Another key figure in the UK roots and dub scene is Jonah Dan. Running the Inner Sanctuary label, he has collaborated with artists such as The Disciples, Alpha & Omega, and Nomadix. He is a top-tier percussionist and an outstanding roots music producer.

"Idren Natural loved bringing people together on his musical journey, and Jah Shaka was the gateway for all of us."

Ionyouth Soundsystem & Forward Feverb

Ionyouth Soundsystem held their first event in 1999. What started as a live band has since evolved into one of Belgium’s longest-running soundsystems. From their crew, other soundsystems such as Blakkahill and Jahmbassador emerged. They have played at major Belgian festivals, including Reggae Geel, Dour, and Irie Vibes. For this special occasion, they’ll be handling the soundsystem and warming up the crowd together with Forward Fever!

Our longtime partner Forward Fever has been active since the late ’90s, touring across Europe and sharing stages with countless reggae and dub artists. Besides DJ sets and radio work, they’ve been highly productive in the studio. Their debut single 'Rasta We Rasta', featuring Danny Red, Idren Natural, and Jamma Dim, became a true anthem in the soundsystem world. Since then, Forward Fever has released numerous tracks on labels such as AbabaJahnoy, Indica Dubs, Woodland Records, Vibes Generator, Reservoir Dub, and their own Forward Fever Recordings.

Dub Travellerb

Bruges-based Dub Traveller will present some of his own productions at Dub Revolution. As a selector of Sjamanic Soundsystem, he has collaborated with Shikoba Soundsystem, Roots Explosion Soundsystem, Roots Wire Soundsystem, as well as local talents and international vocalists.
