Bob Uit Zuid is a hip-hop artist from Amsterdam. He loves old-school MPC beats and razor-sharp Dutch-language raps. His latest album, 'Heilig' (2024), features a collaboration with Zwangere Guy. Before that, Bob Uit Zuid released an album on the Dutch label Excelsior and had a track on a compilation by Burning Fik, the label founded by Faberyeyo.
For those who love The Beastie Boys but want something more relatable, Bob Uit Zuid is your guy. His lyrics about carp fishing, curling, owning a factory in the Ruhr region, and Café de Bok are drawn straight from the daily life of a millennial from the Low Countries. He also tackles current themes like making fast money, driving around in a Volvo, and the art of writing.
Live, Bob Uit Zuid plays with a full band - because he’s not a fan of music coming from computers. Previously seen at Pukkelpop, Leffingeleuren, and a sold-out Trix, he's now bringing his wildly entertaining Dutch rap to our Café - his natural habitat.
