Naima Bock was born in Glastonbury to a Brazilian father and Greek mother. She began her musical career by playing in London bands (aka Goat Girl) but soon found that she loved the dynamics of working as a solo artist more.

On her debut album 'Giant Palm' (2022), for which she signed with Sub Pop, Naima Bock immediately showed what she has to offer as a singer-songwriter. Drawing on influences from her childhood and her parents' musical heroes, she co-wrote an enchanting record that undulates and swells, with a rich instrumentation that coils around her unique vocal lines and compelling voice. Internationally, she worked her way into the attention of leading media like Pitchfork and KEXP, and in Belgium, the beautiful 'Campervan' got her a spot on Radio 1's playlist.

Her second album 'Below A Massive Dark Land' (27/09, Sub Pop) Bock wrote on her own but sounds like the work of a close-knit group of musicians. It is typical of Naima Bock: whether she performs with her group or solo, everywhere she plays a unique bond is created between her, musicians and audience. Her warm songs float on a southern feel and sepia undertones. Like the artist nature, the music is everywhere and nowhere.

Naima Bock presents 'Below A Massive Dark Land' at Cactus Café. Highly recommended for fans of experimental indie folk. Breaking Waves!
