For the past 36 years, Bruges has been glowing with anticipation for the national and international musical heroes that Cactusfestival annually hosts on the second weekend of July.
In 2017, following acts have been confirmed so far: Goose, Kaiser Chiefs, Richard Ashcroft, Explosions In The Sky, Jamie Lidell, Michael Kiwanuka, Het Zesde Metaal, Sophia, Rhye and Kevin Morby! More acts to be announced soon!
In the past years, we hosted internationally reputed artists such as The Afghan Whigs, Air, Tori Amos, Damien Rice, Erykah Badu, Gnarls Barkley, Beach House, Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy, Calexico, Tracy Chapman, The Cinematic Orchestra, Elvis Costello, Bryan Ferry, The Flaming Lips, Macy Gray, Gregory Porter, John Hiatt, Lauryn Hill, Lamb, Mark Lanegan, Daniel Lanois, Jamie Lidell, Massive Attack, Mogwai, Bonnie Raitt, Patti Smith, St Germain, Rufus Wainwright, The Waterboys, Paul Weller, Wilco ... Inspiring concerts side to side with upcoming talent for an audience with a broad taste for music.
On this human-scaled festival, in the enchanting Minnewaterpark, all bands bring full-sized concert sets on one single stage. No heart-breaking choices to be made!
During the breaks, a fleet of food trucks provides (healthy) food. Playful people will find their heart's desire with off-stage animation for children and adults alike, and a unique decoration of the park. Can't wait for summer? Neither can we!
